![]() ![]() Highly recommend them over reading the series. They are actually really good, and make the experience much better. Gallius Rax and Admiral Sloane are by far my favourite parts of the books.Įdit: Shoot, I also forgot. They are the least memorable parts of the books, with the exceptions of the ones from the movies like Wedge, Han and Chewie, and a few now ones. But you're mostly watching/reading for Dinosaurs/space battles and backstory and the characters are second class. It's set in the universe you love, there's a lot going on. It's a lot how I look at the two Jurassic World movies. A casual fan would hate them and never want to read Star Wars novels again. Star Wars Aftermath bridges part of the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. But let me tell what kind of a mistake in a while. If you've never read a Star Wars book before, holy Geezus, don't read these ones. But it was his Star Wars book that finally got me to crack open a cover and say right, time to read some Wendig. If you love the backstory of Star Wars it's enjoyable. Since Chuck Wendig is kind of a douche bag unfortunately, and was actually fired from Lucasfilm. If you can separate the artist from the art it's a series you can enjoy. I agree, the first book is a bit of a slog, It's readable but feels long and drawn out. If you ever forget this simply type spoiler help in a comment for a reminder. ![]() See Complete List of Rules Tagging Spoilers (#spoiler) Self-Promotion: Is allowed but submit other content FIRST and follow other guidelines below.
